Dr Maxine Beetham. BHB, MBCHB, FRNZCGP.
Dr. Maxine Beetham has grown up in Te Puna, Tauranga, attending Te Puna School and Otumoetai College. She then attended Auckland University where she completed her medical Studies.
Following this, she worked at Tauranga Hospital for several years, then Rotorua and Waikato Hospital doing ICU and Anesthetics before carrying out further study in General Practice. She is now a Fellow of the Royal NZ College of GP’s.
Her interests include maternity, pediatrics, and palliative care.
She is very keen to provide professional care to her patients from her local and surrounding regions.

Dr Ken Caldwell. MRCGP (UK), FRNZCGP, Dip. Obs.
Originally from Speyside in Scotland, Ken has lived and worked in New Zealand for almost 30 years.
He established and developed a large and successful family practice in the Waikato before branching out to work in rural areas around the country.
This took him and his family to some fantastic locations like Waiheke Island and Waihi Beach and they have met some great people along the way.
He is an experienced, reliable, and friendly family doctor, comfortable with most aspects of General Practice.
Having settled in the Bay of Plenty, he is looking forward to making Te Puna Doctors a Medical Practice we can be proud of.

Dr Chris McKnight. BSc MBChB MRCGP FRNZCGP
Born in Edinburgh and grew up on the East Coast of Scotland. Dr Chris McKnight completed his medical and General Practice training in the UK cross St-Andrews, Manchester and Newcastle.
Chris and his wife moved to New Zealand in 2010 where we ran our own practice in Ohope. Now that their 3 children are older, they have relocated to Tauranga, and he is excited to have joined the team at Te Puna Doctors.
He enjoys not only the enormous variety that General Practice offers but also in making connections and relationships with patients and families.
He provides the full suite of General Practice services with interests in men’s health, medical education and the detection and treatment of skin cancer. He looks forward to being part of the Te Puna community.
